WE LOVE CHERRIES!
For the last 88 years, the Olmstead family has been growing fruit in the fertile Yakima Valley of Washington state. Today we farm over 120 acres of cherry orchard that has been hand selected to provide the best possible location for fertile soil and protection from severe weather. Bing and Rainier cherries are our specialty, and the Olmsteads are passionate about sharing them with you.

MORE OLMSTEAD ORCHARDS HISTORY
We take great measures to
properly care for our trees, but much of the success of our crops is in Mother
Nature's hands. All of our hard work in pruning, irrigating, fertilizing, and
spraying to protect our precious crop can be negated by freezing temperatures,
high winds, excessive rain, or large hail at the wrong time. This
spring we have had some frost damage, but it was not devastating and
the cherries were beautiful and tasty this year! We are getting a little
R&R right now, but will be hard at work trying to keep up with the elements
soon enough.
